Hunter is our son, and we are raising money to adopt a service dog and pay for all of its training. As we've explored this journey, we've realized that providing Hunter with such an amazing tool is simply not within our family's budget, so we are prayerfully reaching out for help from our community.

A service dog would be life-changing for Hunter. For his Autism, a service dog can provide safety, reduce anxiety, improve social skills, and offer deep pressure therapy for sensory regulation. The dog would act as a grounding anchor to interrupt meltdowns, prevent wandering, and be a non-judgmental companion who helps facilitate social engagement and emotional stability for both Hunter and our family.

For Hunter's PTSD and anxiety, a service dog would be trained to perform specific tasks like interrupting flashbacks, grounding him during panic attacks with physical contact, alerting to night terrors, and providing a constant sense of security and routine. This support would help Hunter reintegrate into daily life, reduce isolation, and manage triggers. The presence of a service dog would offer unconditional support, boost his confidence, and encourage him to engage more fully with the world around him.
