Help Hunter finally receive a diagnosis

We never thought as a family we'd ever have to create a fundraiser, especially one for our three year old son but here we are.

Hunter, our son turns four in April. Since September 2022 he woke up unable to weight bare on one of his legs, in absolutely agonising pain. We assumed he'd hurt it getting out of bed or it was growing pains but the pain disappeared after 6/7 hours. He was then back to his usual self. 6 weeks later he'd had another episode of pain, couldn't physically move his leg, screaming uncontrollably with no obvious cause but resolves within 12hours as if nothing ever happened.

I'd started to notice his gait was off when he was walking/running, we took him out if his one and only hobby of football as he physically couldn't join in. He was getting extremely fatigued, irritable, lack of appetite, incontinence, and his lymph nodes in his neck were noticeable and multiple of them, this prompted our first of many a&e visits.

Currently hunters flare ups are last longer than ever before, up to 44hours so far, he's having to sleep with pillows between his legs to ease the pain throughout the night. He can experience 1-3 flare ups a week, this is draining mentally and physically, not only for hunter himself but on his siblings and us as his parents. Seeing your little boy in debilitating pain, being sofa bound, carried to the toilet and falling over when trying to walk is so heartbreaking.

Hunter has had multiple x-rays, an ultrasound, MRI of lower half of his body along with blood work and seen rheumatology and orthopaedics. Unfortunately we have now been told by the NHS "we hope he will get better with time" there is no further testing they are willing to do for him. Leaving him with only Calpol and ibuprofen to manage his pain levels.

Therefore the aim of this fundraiser is to help us afford to see a private paediatric consultant, specifically one who deals with auto immune conditions. Private consults are extremely expensive but as a family have no other choice right now.

A first initial consultation is £595 with an auto immune specialist, then blood work and further testing is an additional cost.
