Help Hunter Fight for Answers and a Brighter Future

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I am reaching out with such a heavy heart to ask for your support for my sweet godson, Hunter. My best friends have been facing an unimaginable challenge. In the almost 3 years since we were blessed with Hunter (aka my little nugget), he has been battling a mysterious condition that has left doctors, nurses, and therapists searching for answers. Hunter was all smiles, and everything seemed great until about his first birthday. After that his health was steadily declining and he wasn’t progressing as a baby should. His parents jumped right in to figure out what was wrong however, every road has just led to a dead end. With his diagnosis being unknown every day and every task comes with a new struggle.

Despite numerous tests, hospital stays, ambulance rides, therapies, the cause of Hunter’s illness remains unknown, and this uncertainty has placed an immense emotional and financial strain on his family. Hunter has been through MRIs, EEGs, Muscle Biopsy, Spinal Tap, Muscle and Nerve Conduction Studies, ER visits, a ton of bloodwork, and the list goes on. That is a lot for a toddler to go through only to still be without any answers.

No parent wants to not see their child thrive, say his first word, crawl, etc. Hunter deserves to feel like the happy, energetic little one he deserves to be, but instead, he’s facing challenges we never expected. As his godmother and what I consider family, we are doing everything in our power to support him and his family, but the medical costs for tests, treatments, hospital visits, and the ongoing search for answers continue to rise. Sandra and Diego have worked tirelessly to get Hunter a reservation in Boston to see a group of specialists and we are praying that they can finally give some answers. They will be heading to Boston next month in March.

That’s why we are turning to our community for help. We are asking for your support to help Hunter get the care he needs, to find answers, and to help ease the financial burden during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly to his parents toward his medical expenses and give him the best chance at a full and healthy future.
