My name is Hunter and anyone that knows me knows my dog is Thor boy. I have had him since he was 9 weeks old and he is currently 8, going on 9. It saddens me deeply to make this post, but I may have as little as 2 weeks left with this amazing companion. He has been by my side through it all, and I couldn't have made it through all the dark times without him ❤️. He was recently seen by a vet for signs of bloating. He was still acting normal, eating, and drinking just like any other day. I just noticed he was losing weight for no apparent reason. He also appeared to have lost muscle mass, yet his vet said he had gained roughly 7 lbs. X-rays revealed a giant mass or fluid build-up in his abdomen. The X-ray provided should show all of his organs; however, you will notice they show none. The ultrasound revealed a mass the specialist says he's never seen before this size. He says it extends from his breastplate to his bladder. When I tell you I had no idea, I truly mean it, and I am without words to describe how I feel right now. All I know is I'm losing what feels like my son and what else seems like 4 years too soon. The specialist agreed that treatment would be of little success considering the span of the tumor. All I'm asking here is to help cover the expenses I paid at the vet and help cover his medication to increase appetite and reduce pain. I have already sold personal items and belongings to get him to the vet. Anything and everything would be greatly appreciated . These costs also include what it will take to put him to sleep peacefully and to also cremate him... I do not expect anyone to give more than they can, and I know times are hard for everyone right now. Whatever is donated will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance ❤️.
