Help Hunter and Garrett go to worlds robot event!
Hello everyone and thank you for supporting Vex robotics. We are trying to raise money for team “Kimball Microbots” to be able to register and travel to the Vex IQ worlds robotics championship in Dallas Texas this spring! This is an independent, parent-sponsored team who has earned an invitation to the big event! The team went to four tournaments in Minnesota funded by their parents to get their invite so each family has given to the max to support their efforts.
The boys have spent most of the fall and winter working hard to refine their robot, enhance their driver’s skills and build a state of the art autonomous program. This gives them skills in problem solving, patience, teamwork and collaboration. They had to rebuild their entire robot in 15 minutes on the front stage at the Thief River Falls tournament. Talk about perseverance under pressure. We have seen them grow so much from their involvement in this program. In addition to Robotics, both boys are active in sports and the Scouts BSA program along with their education.
Funds will be used for registering the team, travel, lodging, and food for not only the team but their families as well. Anything raised above these costs would be put back into the robotics program for next year. These two have worked tremendously hard to get to this point and will be eternally grateful for any support you can give!
