Thank you for taking the time to read Humphrey's story. My partner and I are raising funds to help my moody, little boy, Humphrey, get the urgent dental surgery he needs.

Humphrey's life hasn't been an easy one. In his early years, he suffered neglect before being rescued by a close friend who cared for him for a little while. When circumstances changed, we welcomed Humphrey and his sister Tilly into our family over a year ago, and they've been with us ever since. Despite his rocky start, Humphrey is the sweetest, most gentle companion, and we want nothing more than to give him the safe, happy life he truly deserves.

At a recent vet check-up, we learned that Humphrey has infected teeth that need to be removed. Right now, he's already experiencing pain and difficulty eating. Thankfully, we caught the issue early enough that surgery can resolve it, but if left untreated, dental infections in cats can become life-threatening. We have been warned that it can spread to vital organs such as the heart, liver, and kidneys, and cause severe complications including weight loss and even liver failure if eating becomes too painful.

Due to Humphrey's age (he is estimated to be around 13 years old, if not older). We have been unable to get insurance for him due to his old age, which means all of the medical costs must be covered out of pocket. The funds raised will go directly toward his dental surgery, medications, and aftercare, ensuring he can recover comfortably and return to living his best, pain-free life. The surgery is estimated to cost around £500-£900, depending on the severity of the dental decay/infection. Whatever we can raise will help us greatly.

Humphrey has overcome so much in his life. He has helped me in so many ways and I want to help him through this difficult time. He continues to add so much love and joy into my life, helping me with my mental health and making me smile everyday.
