I’m Humberto Olivares, a 55 year old Venezuelan retired worker of the Los Andes University. A few months ago, I started having problems with my prostate. With the financial and logistical help of friends and family, i was taken to get tests done and treatment to solve my problem. Unfortunately, two months after going to a treatment center I suffered a bad fall. I was in bed without being able to walk, sleep or meet my most basic needs because of the pain. What I didn’t know is that I have a fracture in my hips, and a malignant tumor that has spread through many parts of my body.
To save my life I ask God to help me and for him to touch the hearts of all of those who have the good will to help the ones in need. I hope that all the good things that come from your heart return to you and your family multiplied in health, love and happiness.
To recover, I urgently need a thorax tomography, oncology treatment (radiotherapy and chemotherapy), an urgent surgery to implant the hip replacement, prostate biopsy, bone biopsy and more medical tests that due to my precarious economical situation and the terrible socioeconomic crisis that is a reality in Venezuela, I cannot cover those expenses. Due to hyperinflation I'm currently earning the equivalent of 2$ a month. I’m in desperate need of help.

Soy Humberto Olivares, venezolano de 55 años, trabajandor jubilado de la Universidad de los Andes. Desde hace unos meses comencé a tener problemas de próstata, que me llevaron a realizarme, con la ayuda de unos familiares, exámenes y tratamiento para resolver mi problema. Desafortunadamente, hace 2 meses luego de acudir a un centro de atención sufrí una estrepitosa caída que me llevó a estar en cama sin poder caminar ni dormir por el terrible dolor, ni poder atender mis necesidades más básicas. Lo que no sabía era que tenía una fractura de cadera y peor aún que estaba siendo afectado por un tumor maligno que no ha parado de esparcirse por algunas partes de mi cuerpo.
Para salvar mi vida le pido a Dios que me ayude y que toque el corazón de todos aquellos que tengan la buena voluntad de ayudar a los más necesitados. Espero que todo lo bueno que salga de tu corazón regrese a tí y a tu familia multiplicado en salud, amor y felicidad.
