Hulk is our 100-plus pound boxer, but despite his size, he’s truly a gentle giant. He’s lazy, lovable, and stubborn, and he’s been a loyal companion to me, my wife, our two sons, and his best buddy Thor, who’s also a boxer. Hulk has always been a big part of our family, bringing us joy and laughter every day with his unique personality and endless affection.

On Thanksgiving night, I noticed something was wrong—Hulk was showing signs of bloat, a life-threatening condition. I immediately rushed him to the vet, where we learned he needed emergency surgery to flip his stomach back over. The procedure was successful, and Hulk just got out of surgery last night. Thankfully, his condition is improving, but the cost of the operation was completely unexpected for our family, especially during the holidays.
