Hugo is my sweet, loving boy and my whole world. He’s always been so active, playful, and full of life — the kind of cat who loves to jump, run around, and curl up right next to me. He isn’t just a pet; he’s my family, my best friend, and the one who makes every day brighter.

Recently, Hugo jumped up as he usually does, but landed wrong and twisted his leg. Since then, everything has changed. He cannot walk at all, and the most heartbreaking part is that he cries and screams in pain every time he is moved or touched. It breaks my heart to see him suffer like this, and I hate that I can’t take his pain away.

I took him straight to the vet, but after examinations and tests, they still don’t know exactly what is wrong or what damage has been done — whether it’s his bones, joints, nerves, or soft tissue. They need to do more checks, possibly refer him to a specialist, and start treatment to stop his pain and help him move again.

The problem I’m facing

The vet bills are already growing, and the costs for more tests, specialist appointments, medication, and treatment are way more than I can afford on my own right now. I have already used every penny I have and cut back on everything I can, but I simply cannot cover the full amount needed to find out what’s wrong and give him the care he desperately needs.

I never thought I would have to ask for help, but I refuse to let Hugo suffer or go without treatment just because I can’t pay. He is in so much pain, and all I want is to give him a chance to feel better, walk again, and be his happy self.
