Hugo has been my loyal companion since 2021, and he’s truly one of a kind. He’s a Belgian Malinois mix with a big personality—active, happy, and always ready for adventure. Hugo loves to swim and belly slam into our pool, and he’s the greatest cuddler you could ask for. His intelligence is remarkable; he can even climb ladders, and his obedience and loyalty make him a joy to have around.

Recently, Hugo’s life has changed dramatically due to health challenges. He developed heartworm, likely from the mosquitos here in Florida, and also suffered a torn CCL—a common injury in large breeds. These issues have forced him to give up his favorite activities. Now, Hugo can only rest and go for short walks on a leash. He limps everywhere and needs help getting onto beds and couches, so I’ve made him a special sleep corner in my room to keep him comfortable and safe.

I’m raising funds to cover Hugo’s upcoming heartworm procedure and surgery to repair his torn CCL. The donations will go directly toward his medical bills, medications, and follow-up care, giving him the best chance at a full recovery.
