Hi everyone,

I never thought I’d be in a position where I’d need to ask for help like this, but I’m doing everything I can for my best friend, Hugo.

Hugo was diagnosed with cruciate disease in January 2026, after already being diagnosed with hip dysplasia in August 2025. At the end of February 2026, he underwent his first TPLO surgery. While the surgery went well, the vets discovered that his right knee also has a partial tear, meaning he now needs a second TPLO procedure.

Without this second surgery, Hugo will continue to be in pain and his mobility will worsen over time. This operation is essential to give him a comfortable, happy life.

So far, I’ve managed to cover half of the costs, but I still need to raise £1,200 for his second surgery. We’re hoping to get this done by July—sooner if possible—so he doesn’t have to suffer any longer than necessary.

Hugo isn’t just a dog to me—he’s my best friend and truly the only family I have. He’s been there for me through everything, and now he needs me more than ever.
