Help Huda Feed her Family and Survive in Gaza

Hello! My name is Sofia, from Scotland, I’ve created this fundraiser for my dear friend Huda, who is currently living through the horrors of the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Her life, like the lives of so many innocent Palestinians, has been completely upended by unimaginable violence, destruction, and loss.

Here is Huda’s Story:

I’m Huda from Gaza, 24 years old. I lost my father when I was just three years old. We had a good life back then — my father was a teacher and we had a stable income. After his passing, my mother worked in his place, but she had to retire at the beginning of the war.

I graduated from high school in 2018 with an excellent score — 98.1% — and I was one of the top students in Gaza. I then enrolled in the Faculty of Law at Palestine University. Sadly, I dreamed of getting a scholarship abroad, but I couldn’t achieve that.

I graduated from university in 2022 with excellent grades. I’ve always been very dedicated to my studies. After graduation, I started training at a law firm, representing clients in court. At the beginning of 2023, I was just about to take my legal oath, receive my official license, and open my own office. But the war came — and it destroyed all of my dreams and my future.

Now I live with my mother, and we have no source of income. I can no longer work in the courts, and we don’t have enough money for basic needs. That’s why I created this campaign — to support my mother and myself.

In my campaign, you will see my high school and university transcripts — I’ve always been a hardworking student, especially in English! Since I was young, I’ve consistently earned full marks in English class ♥️.

That’s why, my friends, I would be so grateful if you could support me in this campaign. And if anyone can help me find a scholarship opportunity outside of Gaza, it would mean the world to me. Scholarships are often prioritized for travel even when the borders are closed, so this could be my only hope to leave safely .

Part of the campaign funds will also go toward rebuilding our family home that was destroyed by the occupation — so even if I do manage to leave Gaza, we will still have a home to come back to one day .
