This fundraiser supports Huda, a second-year medical student in Gaza, and her sister Hadeel, an engineering student, in paying their overdue university tuition fees. The cost for this term is 6,600 shekels (around $3,000 AUD).

Huda is a brilliant, compassionate, and determined young woman who continues to rank in the top 10% of her class, despite enduring two years of war and displacement. Her sister Hadeel, equally hardworking, is among the top students in her engineering cohort.

Their mother, a chemistry teacher, has always taught her children that education is the foundation of hope and progress. That belief has carried them through unimaginable challenges.

Even while borrowing laptops to attend online lectures, or sitting exams on her mobile phone with gunfire and explosions nearby, Huda has continued to study with remarkable perseverance. She has also volunteered her time to provide medical aid to displaced families living in tents—showing compassion that defines not just a student, but a true future doctor.

With the recent ceasefire, there is hope that food, shelter, and medical care will become more accessible—but without support, both sisters will lose their chance to continue their education.
