Help Howie through lifesaving surgery

Howie is a 6 year old gentle giant and retired race horse that has been in recovery from an extensive colic surgery. Tami, his adoring owner, is an Equine Health/Veterinary care manager at the C Lazy U Ranch in Granby and dedicates her time caring for hundreds of horses. Earlier this summer, Tami had to say goodbye to her childhood horse Lacey after 20 years. Not knowing if she could go through another heart break, timing was on her side and Howie found her.
On Friday morning Tami got news he wasn’t doing well and had to rush Howie down to Littleton Equine from Granby. Tami was given news that Howie only had a 30% chance to live and the surgery was going to be extremely risky. At the last minute, standing by the side of her heart horse, Tami knew in her heart it wasn’t Howie’s time and didn’t give up on him.
By the Grace of God, the surgeons and through everyone’s prayers, he fought through the night. He still has a long road to recovery and it is obvious to all of Tami’s friends and family how large the emotional damage is but also how deep the financial damage will continue to grow. He will have to recover down in Denver away from harsh weather conditions this winter.
Any financial support for Howie and Tami would be immensely appreciated.
