Hello! My name is Shikahi Jones, and I’m a rising senior Classical Voice Performance Major at Howard University. I’m reaching out with humility and hope as I take a leap toward a lifelong dream.

This summer, I’ve been accepted into not one, but TWO prestigious emerging artist programs in Italy—one in Tuscany and another in Todi. These programs are vital stepping stones in my journey as a classical vocalist, offering world-class training, mentorship, and international performance opportunities that will launch my career in classical music.

As a Navy veteran who served for 7 years as a Hospital Corpsman, I’ve seen the world in uniform, providing care and compassion. I’ve also learned the importance of chasing dreams while life still fills our lungs and our hearts still beat with purpose. After years of service, I made the bold decision to pursue my passion for music—one I held onto patiently during deployments and long nights on call.

Now, I’m finally here. I’ve trained tirelessly, studied passionately, and performed proudly on stages across D.C. and beyond. But the next step—the one that could truly open doors—requires your support.
