Hello. My name is Howard. Some of you know me as Stoner or Lord Stone. I took a disability retirement from Clark County after having half my left foot amputated when the toes got infected. As a double whammy, my right foot was struck with Charcot arthropathy. This is a disintegration of the middle joint.
Just as I was getting used to my new life and starting an Ozempic regimen (lost almost 100 lbs), I started vomiting violently about a month ago. I was nauseous for 4 days. My ex-wife Julie took me to the emergency room at Sunrise Hospital.
After they took labs and did a CT scan, the nurse practitioner informed me of the results. I thought it was my umbilical hernia. Nope, it was just fat. The mesh was still in place. It turned out to be scarring of the liver (cirrhosis).
I am not a drinker. All those years of being a human beach ball had caught up. Sunrise discharged me and I was dumbfounded! Wow!
With my meager pension and bills mounting, we're sinking. Julie is scrambling to make money and I am not allowed to get a job on my disability pension.
I am personally reaching out to everyone. I don't want to be a burden, but I don't have many options. Thank you in advance. Anything helps. G-d Bless you all!!
