Hello, this is Cameron, son of Howard Miller. I write to you today in hopes that you can help me out. My dad lives in Charlotte, NC where he worked for ESPN for years. Unfortunately due to Covid he was laid off from Disney and ever since things have quietly been a challenge for not only him but everyone close to him.

Dad has wanted to move home, to Ironton, Ohio, for quite some time but unfortunately there have been some major obstacles in the way. My dad tried to invest money into our old house to improve it to the standard he needed given his health conditions but alas with our situation we just couldn’t get that project done. So he has had plans to sell the house to fund his move back and to return to our Ironton family, friends and community.

Things took a sharp turn last week. My father recently suffered from cardiac arrest during his dialysis treatment that has put a hold on everything. He is currently on life support and we are praying and hoping that he will make it through to this. The issue that we face currently is that we have until Wednesday May, 10th to pack up and move all of his belongs back to Ironton in storage. Due to his current state we cannot close the deal on the house and cannot afford to move everything. We are between a rock and a hard place.

I ask for help because I’m doing everything I possibly can for him but unfortunately this part I am falling short of making it happen. If you could please help my father out I would be forever grateful for you. If you cannot make a financial contribution then please share this story.

The moving companies have quoted us between $5-$8k to move his belongings.

My dad is my hero and it’s time that I try my best to take care of him. He’s so loved by so many people and I want to thank all of you for everything.
