Help House of Pain Wrestling Academy Get Moving!
House of Pain Wrestling Academy has been at the heart of the Nottinghamshire wrestling community for over 15 years – training hundreds of students of all ages, running more than 90 live shows every year, and giving local people a safe, supportive space to grow in confidence, fitness, and skill.
We are a not-for-profit organisation that reinvests everything back into the Academy, and we are currently in the process of gaining charitable status so we can do even more for our community.
But we have a big challenge – transport.
Right now, getting our ring, sound equipment, and crew to shows across the East Midlands takes a lot of hire vans and trainees cars. This makes setting up and tearing down shows harder, more expensive, takes funds away from the running of the academy and makes everything more time-consuming – and sometimes it even limits what we can do.
That’s where you come in.
We’re asking our amazing community to help us raise funds to buy a used van that will allow us to safely transport our wrestling ring and equipment to shows. With a van, we can:
✅ Cut down on travel costs and hire fees
✅ Make set-ups and pack-downs faster and safer
✅ Get more students involved in shows by giving them a lift
✅ Develop a community outreach programme with local organisations to get more people into the arts
✅ Keep building the thriving wrestling scene we’ve worked so hard to grow
And if we smash our goal?
Our stretch goal is to also get a used minibus, which would allow us to:
✅ Transport trainees to shows and events who otherwise couldn’t get there
✅ Offer more outreach sessions in schools and communities
✅ Expand opportunities for our kids’ classes and holiday clubs
Every penny you donate goes directly towards this project. No wages, no profit – just a safer, smoother, stronger House of Pain Academy.
If House of Pain Wrestling has ever entertained you, trained you, inspired you – or if you just want to support grassroots sport and give people of all ages a place to belong – please consider donating and sharing this campaign.
Together, we can keep wrestling moving forward.
