First of all — thank you. To everyone who supported my original fundraiser — you helped me through one of the darkest periods of my life. Your generosity helped change my life.
Because of your support, I was able to:
- Secure temporary housing
- Cover food, transport, and hygiene essentials
- I replaced important things I had lost, like ID, clothes, and a working phone
- Clear urgent debts that were blocking access to proper housing
Unfortunately I’m back to being homeless. I’m still struggling day to day — with money, with my health and still no support from the council. My disability makes it difficult to work consistently, and mentally, I’ve been carrying a lot — it is a very difficult time to be Sudanese.
I am increasing the target £2000 because I’ve just been offered chances at housing al hamdullilah — but I need a deposit and upfront rent to actually secure it.
InshaAllah the £2000 would help me cover:
- A deposit and first month’s rent for a room
- 1 month of food, travel, and hygiene
- Replace a few things I’ve been going without, like proper bedding and storage
