Help Hot Sauce and Pepper Rebuild

On Friday January 7, 2021 while on our way to serve our community at First Friday's we stopped to pick-up work shirts and when we came out, our U-Haul, which we rent weekly to move our business around, was gone. It had been stolen! Our entire business and means for making money from our family was taken from us!  As you all know, Hot Sauce and Pepper, the Home of the Caulifyah wings is a premiere vegan pop-up restaurant in the community and has been operating for over a year with tenacity, love and commitment to our community! We love you guys and we love what we do! The fabric of Hot Sauce and Pepper is our community and everywhere we go, we share that energy through our food! "Breaking Bread" is a community past time, its what makes us family and builds trust. behind the good food and loving smiles you receive when you come and see us, is this mission to break bread with you all, spread love and build family!

 

In the U-haul that was stolen, was thousands of dollars worth of equipment. Over the last year, we have rented a U-haul weekly to move our business around. Having our own food trailer would eliminate the need to continue renting U-hauls weekly. We are asking the community to help us purchase a food trailer!

 

We have been researching for awhile now and talking to people in the community about the best places to go to get a food trailer built. We found a place (Called FUD Trailer) that we would like to begin working with. The food trailer is estimated cost of $32,000, which includes all of the equipment we need to fully operate and of course the trailer.

 

Here is a list of some of the most important things lost in the stolen U-Haul (this list is not exhaustive just listing some general items):

5 6ft tables

5 table clothes

4 Industrial Bins

1 Food Heater Bag

1 Large Trash Can

4 Chaffing dishes

2 Oil Canisters for hot oil

2 Flour Bins

1 K Fire Extinguisher

1 Red Fire Extinguisher

1 Money box

2 Square Readers with charger docs

2 8 oz scoopers

4 Coolers

All HSP Materials (signs, menus, banners, A-Frame)

1 10x10 Tent

We literally only got through this because we seen the response from the community and knew at that moment how blessed we are, even in a horrible situation like this one!
