Help Horus the Sphynx beat FIP

Donation protected
Hey, this little man is Horus and he's a 1 and a half year old Sphynx Cat. We adopted him in January this year.

Unfortunately in March he fell ill, he was treated at the time for a respiratory issue.
He improved only to fall ill again in April, again we got him treated and again he improved.

Sadly he still wasn't 100% so we took him back to our vets for bloodwork and a chest XRay to try and find what was wrong with him. That was on May 2nd. All initial tests came back OK but we had to send some samples off and were expecting a 14 day wait for results.

Unfortunately on May 10th we had to rush him to the vets as he went downhill very quickly, by the time we got him to the vets he wasn't able to stand up and as soon as he was put on the table he had a seizure.
At this point we were couldn't wait to receive his final test results and we started his treatment for neurological FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). Due to his condition we had to leave him at the vets overnight and we did not think we would be bringing him home.
By some miracle he dramatically improved over the night and we were able to collect him first thing to continue treating him at home. For the first time in weeks he ate from his food dish instead of me having to handfeed him.

Sadly he took another turn today and we had to take him to the emergency vet as he was very lethargic and off his food. We are keeping a very close eye on him and have managed to encourage him to eat a little food and have more medicine to try and encourage his appetite.

The good new is FIP is treatable! However the medication is extremely expensive. Horus needs to be given tablets everyday for a minimum of 84 days. The dosage is based on his weight. We are currently looking at over £2000 a month for his FIP medicine alone! As he hopefully gains more weight, the cost of his medicine will also increase.
He also needs weekly checkups and blood tests, he is only a veterinary diet due to his persistant diarrhea and he needs 3 different probiotics a day. None of this is cheap unfortunately.

We do have insurance but have already spent half of his cover on his diagnosis and initial treatment cost, we will soon run out of insurance and without this medicine Horus has no chance of survival.

We have already seen a dramatic change in him since he was started on this medicine, he is so full of energy and spends his time playing as a kitten should and wanting to just snuggle up with us in blankets purring away. We don't want to give up fighting for our little man as long as he has fight in him. He is the sweetest little cat and is such a character.

We really need your help to get him better and give him the long healthy life he deserves. He is still just a baby and has so much love to give.

Please help Horus if you can x
