Help Horton beat Cancer!

Let me introduce myself; my name is Jesse Barker. I have known Tony for over 25 years; he is one of the most incredible people I know, and I am lucky to call him one of my best friends.

Tony and his wife Ann, of 19 years, have four children.

Anthony (18)
Ayva (17)
Abbie (16)
Aiden *almost* (15)

.... wow you two, did you have any other hobbies?

Tony was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma in his head and neck, which is metastatic but looking to only be within the lymph nodes of his neck.

Tony's treatment plan starts with surgery this Wednesday to remove his tonsils and to explore for the origins of the cancer. Once his tonsils are removed and he has recovered from the surgery, he will begin an intense ten-week schedule of chemotherapy and radiation. His care team will also add what they call the "Hail Mary" treatment into the mix; this is potent radiation and will require much downtime for Tony to rest and recover.

Resting will not be easy for Tony as he is the primary provider for his family, and if you have ever met the guy, you know he does not take time off work for anything. He works tirelessly to ensure that his family's needs are always met, often sacrificing his own needs for others as any good Father would do.

Now it is our turn to sacrifice for a man that has done so much for others; I ask that you please consider donating to Tony and his family.

All the money donated will help cover his medical and dental deductibles and any health procedures not covered by insurance.

But most importantly, the funds will be used to pay for housing, food, utilities, and daily life essentials needed while Tony cannot work. These basic needs are what concern Tony the most, and they are causing worries he does not need!

So I ask again, please consider helping one of the most genuine, caring and loving families you will ever meet! If you are the praying type, keep Tony, Ann and their children in your prayers.

If you have stuck with me this long, I thank you. If you want to learn more, Tony has also started a CaringBridge to document his cancer journey. Read his story and drop him a word of encouragement!

All the Best,

Jesse
