Help with Funeral and Memorial expenses for Hortencia Torres

Hello, my name is Diana Torres. I fondly appreciate you taking the time to read my story, my mom's story. My siblings and family have been blindsided by the loss of my mom at only 62 years of age. About a month ago, perhaps around September 8, my mom broke her arm coming out of the gym. She tripped and with her effort to not hit her head, she put her arm out, resulting in her breaking it. The doctors told her that thankfully she didn't need surgery and she was doing fine and getting along with her arm in a cast. Last week, on October 9th, she had a doctor's appointment to see how her arm was doing and it was terribly crooked. The doctors told her she was going to need surgery, that she needed surgery from the beginning. Even though that wasn't what they initially told her. She had her surgery this week, on October 14th, and she was discharged with no complications. Everything was going as expected - there was obvious pain that she was undergoing post-surgery but she looked okay. Although, from all the medication she was taking it led to her experiencing gastritis. Yesterday, October 16th, she woke up still experiencing gastritis with nausea and dizziness, and she couldn't stomach anything at all. She assumed it was all the medication. Then she began experiencing a migraine and it was so bad my oldest brother took her to Urgent Care. She was walking and talking fine amidst her pain and nausea/dizziness. During one of the CT-scans they were testing her for she convulsed and that's when Urgent Care decided to send her immediately to the Hospital's ER. She suffered an aneurysm and it quickly worsened. The bleeding is so bad the neuro surgeon decided there was nothing to be done. My mom was such strong woman, a fighter, una mamá luchona 4x4. She's always done her best to stay healthy. Everything happened so unexpectedly and sudden and we just cannot believe it. It's a bad nightmare we cannot wake up from. She was very active in her church and always looking after those that needed it the most.Any money donated will be used for Funeral and Memorial expenses. Hace como un mes, por el 8 de Septiembre, mi mamá se quebró su brazo saliendo de los ejercicios. Se tropezó y en sus intentos de no golpearse su cabeza, puso su brazo para protegerla y terminó quebrándola. Los doctores le dijeron que afortunadamente no necesitaría cirugía y que estaba bien para que se pusiera el yeso. La semana pasada, el 9 de Octubre, tuvo una cita con el doctor para revisarle el brazo y le dijeron que estaba demasiado chueca. Los doctores le dijeron que necesitaría cirugía, que necesitaba la cirugía desde el principio. Aunque eso no fue lo que nos dijeron al principio. Tuvo su cirugía esta semana, el 14 de Octubre, y fue dada de alta sin complicaciones. Todo estaba yendo bien - obviamente tenía dolor porque acababa de tener cirugía pero se veía bien. Aunque sí empezó a tener gastritis por todas las medicinas que se tenía que tomar. Ayer, el 16 de Octubre, se despertó con gastritis, nauseas y mareos, y nada le caía bien en el estomago. Ella asumió que fue por todo el medicamento que se estaba tomando. Y después empezó a tener una migraña tan intensa que mi hermano mayor la llevo a atención urgentes. Todavía podía caminar y hablar bien a pesar de sus dolores, nauseas y mareos. Durante uno de los chequeos que le estaban haciendo empezó a convulsionar y fue trasladada a urgencias inmediatamente. Sufrió una hemorragia que empeoró muy rápidamente. El sangrado fue tan fuerte que el neurocirujano nos dijo que no había nada más que se podía hacer.

Mi mamá era una mujer fuerte, una luchadora, una mamá luchona 4x4. Siempre se cuidó e hizo todo lo posible para estar saludable. Todo pasó en un cerrar de ojos e inesperadamente que aún no podemos creerlo. Es una pesadilla de la que no nos podemos despertar. Ella siempre fue muy activa en su iglesia y siempre ayudando a los que más lo necesitaban.

Cualquier donación será usada para los gastos del funeral y también para que mi abuela y tío puedan cruzar la frontera para poder darle un último adiós a mi mamá.
