Horse Rescue Family Lost Home to Fire
Donation protected
In the early morning hours of December 4th, 2020 the Wylie family awoke to their house on fire. Ron and Crystal Wylie and their daughter Kiersti of Sandia Creek Ranch were able to get out of the house, and their puppies made it out safely, but they likely lost their cat in the fire. Thankfully none of the 60+ horses on the property were injured, but they lost everything in and around their home. There are no family pictures that survived. No memorabilia. Nothing. They do not know what insurance will cover, but it is believed that the contents are not insured.
This is a family who loves people and animals alike. They would give the shirt off their backs to help somebody. They run a horse rescue, SCRAF (https://scraf.org) and have devoted their lives to caring for horses and people. They also run a Pony Club Riding Center and work hard to educate people about horses and proper horse care and riding. They are strong advocates for horses and well respected in their community. Please help them in their greatest time of need. There is so much that is not replaceable, but they will need to get their feet back on the ground and to replace everything in the coming months. To have this happen right before Christmas and during COVID has created extra devastation and difficulty. Thank you to everyone who supports them.
*My name is Annie Rosas and my daughter and I are heavily involved at Sandia Creek Ranch and with the Wylies. My daughter takes lessons there, is in Pony Club and we volunteer with the rescue (SCRAF). I have their permission to start this go fund me and I can guarantee the funds raised will all go to help them in whatever their needs are, from getting on their feet now, to replacing what they need and whatever they need in rebuilding process. They are like family and we love them dearly. *Tauniya (Tauni) Beckmann is Crystal and Ron’s oldest daughter. She is helping her parents with all the business side of the fire (it’s a LOT!) and the funds. There was a new bank account opened just to manage all the donations, and it has her name along with her parents so that she can ease some of the burden off of them. 100% of the funds are going directly to Ron and Crystal Wylie. Thank you so much for helping! It is so appreciated and needed!*
