Help Horizon Scandal Victims And Their Families

I’m pleased to be raising much-needed funds for Horizon Scandal Fund - a charity dedicated to helping the victims of the Post Office Horizon scandal that is getting the publicity it deserves right now due to the ITV series Mr Bates Vs The Post Office.

This charity has been set up to support current and former Subpostmasters, other Post Office employees, and anyone else impacted by the Horizon scandal.

Examples of how they help those affected are listed as:

• to help pay for travel to attend the statutory inquiry, or other seminars, hearings or debates about the scandal 
  
• legal fees or other professional fees (e.g. forensic accountants)
  
• counselling or other therapy
  
• respite breaks
  
• hardship payments (emergency grants for food, rent, heating, or appliances, or medical equipment) 
  

As they are a relatively new charity, they are not listed on the GoFundMe platform which as you might know is my longstanding fundraising platform of choice, HOWEVER all donations to this appeal will be handled by the GoFundMe UK charity (you can add on GiftAid as well) and they will pay Horizon Scandal Fund directly as a ‘grant.’
