This little kitty was abandoned outside Ritual Brewery. We’ve been affectionately calling him Hops because he was obviously limping and because hops are an ingredient in beer. He was hard to catch, so it took about a week and a half, but once we caught him, we discovered that he’s the most loving creature on the planet. He purrs louder than any cat ever, he wants to be held, and he even wants to be petted while he eats! We took him to our vet and discovered that he has had a fractured leg for a least a few weeks. Even the vet said he’s never met a sweeter cat: he purred throughout the entire exam. Be still my heart.
The choices for Hops are amputating the leg or paying for surgery. Jenny and I have already paid $300 for fees, and we need to come up with another $1750 for the surgery. We think this orange baby deserves a life with all four legs. Because I have asthma and allergies (and one of our dogs is also “allergic”), we need to find a forever home for Hops. He’s currently living in the lap of luxury in our garage, and while he’s happy there for the time being, he’s gonna be amazed at what the inside of a home is like. Seriously, wait until you meet him. Even though the beginning of his life has been hard, he’s not mad about it — he’s the happiest guy ever.
We think if all of our friends can contribute $10 to $50 (or more if you've got it!) we can save this little guy's leg. He needs you to be his champion!
