Help Hope Breathe Easy Again: the New Lungs Edition

Hi friends and family. With the encouragement of our families, I've made this for my girlfriend, Hope. She has lived her whole life with a genetic lung disease that has reached its end: her lungs have failed and she is need of a lung transplant. Hope is currently in the ICU at the Mayo Clinic, on ECMO, waiting for the gift of new lungs.

If you know Hope, you know she is a giver and a helper; she doesn't ask for help. She is the best partner, dog mom, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend on the planet. She has built a career on caring as a Social Worker serving adults, currently in an area county.

We don't know yet how much this is going to cost our family, so we set a goal for now. We have both missed work and have had healthcare costs still from hospitalizations that started back in July. The fund will be used for medical expenses, transportation, lodging and any other uncovered bills.
