My name is Melissa, and I am saddened to have to be making this GoFundMe account for my best friend, Hope.

Our family recently received heartbreaking news: my sister-in-law, Hope, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. At just 38, she now faces a battle that no one ever expects to fight.

Hope is a loving mother/sister, aunt and friend who brings so much light to those around her. Now, she needs our support as she begins the long journey of appointments, surgeries, and recovery.

As many know, even with insurance, the financial strain of cancer can be overwhelming. Medical bills, time off work, travel to appointments, and day-to-day expenses quickly add up. We want her to be able to focus on healing — not on how to make ends meet.
