On Tuesday, July 29th, Hope and Josh were in a tragic car accident on their way to the grocery store. They both sustained critical, life-threatening injuries. They are currently being treated at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME.
Hope sustained injuries requiring immediate abdominal surgery and two days later a second abdominal surgery as well as surgery to set a broken femur. Hope is recovering well, but has a long road ahead.
Josh also was rushed to immediate surgery to repair his aorta, and has remained intubated and sedated ever since. Josh has sustained life-threatening injuries to his lungs and has not been stable enough to proceed with surgery. He remains in critical condition. We are earnestly praying for healing, so the doctors can do their best to treat his resulting injuries. Josh's recovery is very uncertain.
We are so thankful they both have health insurance, however there are many more expenses that will not be covered by insurance, not to mention loss of wages, since neither of them will be able to return to work for some time. We would be grateful if you would join us in prayer for their healing and restoration, and if you would consider donating to help them through this incredibly difficult time. Every little bit counts!
