Help Lime get the surgery she needs!
Hello animal lovers!
If you've ever visited the Hopalong Animal Rescue office in Oakland, you've met our sweet, sassy, very social office cat Lime. Lime has lived in the Hopalong office for over five months, and we'd love to find her a forever home, but Lime needs surgery. Lime was born with a urethral deformity. She's missing the part that connects her bladder to her urethra (this means she sometimes pees a bit without meaning to). The surgery to correct this isn't cheap! Hopalong will need close to $4,000 for her surgery. Without the surgery Lime's accidents may increase as she gets older.
Any excess funds raised will go to the medical care of other animals at Hopalong Animal Rescue.
More About Lime!
=================
Lime is 7 months old and is full of energy! She's lived as the Hopalong office cat for 5 of her 7 months. She was rescued by Hopalong from an overcrowded shelter. She loves to chase toys and explore the office, including people's desks and her own adoption profile. Yes, we know her collar is a kiwi, but it's cute on her, no?

Our mission is to eliminate the euthanasia of cats and dogs through rescue, spay/neuter and education programs. Hopalong focuses on intervening before an animal reaches the shelter and also rescues animals who would otherwise be euthanized at shelters due to pet overpopulation. Since 1993, Hopalong has rescued approximately 28,000 animals.
We have a small full time staff and almost of all of our animals are in foster homes. Much of what we're able to do is because of our amazing foster families and volunteers and the people in the community who donate their time and services (like Lime's photographer, Soulful Pet Photography, or the folks who made this video, Seven Summits Productions). Thank you for reading and being a part of Hopalong's rescue efforts!
