Help HOP Academy survive COVID-19

Wrestling fans of Nottingham may already know about House of Pain Wrestling, a company that puts on family-friendly shows all around the county, featuring some of the top local talent of the area, and entertaining hundreds of fans and families every month. House of Pain Wrestling recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary. What you may not know is that House of Pain Wrestling as it is today would not be possible without the House of Pain Wrestling Academy, a full time facility that currently supports over 100 people to achieve their dreams and train to be professional wrestlers, all from a former church hall in Radford. Everyone is welcome at HOP, from children to adults, the fit and the unfit, anyone with the desire to train in the thing we all love. The House of Pain Academy has never been run for profit. As the academy itself has grown, from once a week training on a Sunday, to the full time facility it is today, so the need for more funding to cover the overheads has grown. When we moved to the new facility, those overheads became higher. We started putting on more regular shows to generate the income to pay for the facility. Currently almost half of the business's income comes from the 5+ shows a month we run around Nottinghamshire. In these uncertain times, it would clearly be unsafe to run our regular monthly shows, which leaves the HOP academy in danger of financial difficulties. Without the HOP academy, there would be no HOP shows, but it would also leave people with no where to train, and would leave trainers and wrestlers out of work. We get no help from any other organisations, we're a very small not-for-profit business, and as such we have no contingency plan for global events such as these. We will be producing a series of "no fans" shows, filmed at the Academy by a group of volunteers from the academy, just for you, for the first time ever. If you enjoy our online shows, have enjoyed our shows live in the past, or you just want to help and would like to contribute, please do so, because we really need your help.
