Ho'o is my hanai sister and one of the most loving, generous people I know. Every weekend, she brings food to our local beach and shares it with everyone, whether she knows them or not. She always makes sure people get home safely, often driving as many as she can fit in her car. Born and raised in Hawaii, Ho'o truly embodies the spirit of Aloha.

Despite her hard work and caring nature, Ho'o has recently faced serious health issues that have kept her from working. As a result, she has fallen behind on her rent and is now at risk of eviction. She has reached out to local organizations for help, but the waiting lists are long and time is running out. Hawaii is an expensive place to live, and many native Hawaiians have been forced to leave in search of more affordable housing. Ho'o was widowed six years ago when her husband was tragically murdered in Los Angeles, and she continues to grieve his loss every day.

Ho'o is facing homelessness by November 14th if she cannot bring her past rent current. Every dollar raised will go directly toward paying her overdue rent so she can keep her home and continue to support her community. Your support will help Ho'o stay in the place she loves and allow her to keep sharing her kindness with others.
