William Collins, known to many as Mr. Bill or Jody, was the heart of our family and a father figure to everyone who knew him. He was the most caring, loving, and hardworking person you could ever meet. Even when he didn’t have much to give, he would still help anyone in need, often putting others before himself. His kindness and generosity touched so many lives, and his home-cooked meals brought people together, making everyone feel like part of the family.
My brothers and I are now facing the difficult task of saying goodbye to our dad. We’re struggling to cover the funeral expenses, especially since I’m on a fixed income and one of my brothers just started a new job. We also need to travel from Michigan to Pennsylvania, where our dad lived, to honor his memory and lay him to rest. It’s important to us that the costs don’t fall on just one person, and we want to come together as a family, just as he always taught us.
Some of our favorite memories with Dad include playing billiards together in the APA Leagues and enjoying his incredible home-cooked meals. My brother Chris especially remembers golfing with Dad and his friends Steve and Jim, even when it poured rain—they still had a great time. These moments remind us of the joy and love he brought into our lives. Any support you can offer will help us give our dad the farewell he deserves and bring our family together during this difficult time. Every little bit truly helps, and we are grateful for your kindness.
