My name is Ashley, and my family and I are reaching out during one of the hardest times of our lives. On Tuesday of last week, my mom, Valeri Lynn Robinson (Burton), passed away unexpectedly. She was the heart of our family, a fighter through years of medical challenges, and a woman who always put others first even when she had so little herself. We are now doing our best to honor her wishes, take care of her affairs, and give her the dignified farewell she deserves.
Unfortunately, the costs of final arrangements, paperwork, and settling her affairs are more than we can manage alone. She was on SSI retirement, and while we are searching for any life insurance or benefits she may have still had, we were not able to locate any active policies so far. We are asking for help—anything, truly anything—to cover funeral and memorial expenses, transportation and preparation fees, administrative and legal costs related to her estate and affairs, and basic support during this transition while we sort through her belongings, documents, and responsibilities.
My mom gave so much love to her family, and she taught us to always be strong, kind, and to take care of one another. Asking for help is never easy, but during a time like this, community makes all the difference. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this means more than you know. Thank you for reading, for caring, and for holding space for my family during this heartbreaking time. With love, Ashley & Tegan
