EDITED TO ADD:
Wow! Support has been overwhelming already and the cost of his cremation has been covered. Anything additional we will plan to put toward costs related the celebration of life(food, etc), and any other expenses and fees that come up. We will be sure every penny goes toward final expenses and honoring our brother. Thank you to everyone. It is clear that Travis made an impact in his short time here.
‐-----------------
On Thursday, April 9th, our family said goodbye to our brother, Travis R. Lint, 33 years old, a Dalton native, Dalton High School class of 2011, and the kind of person who made every room a little louder and a little better.
Travis fought cancer with the same stubbornness and resilience that defined everything he did. He was intelligent, opinionated, unapologetically himself, and deeply loved. He had a passion for fitness and health, a devotion to Ohio State, the Guardians, and the Browns, and an appetite for food that was fully, wonderfully boujee.
For those of us who grew up with him, Travis was more than a brother. He was the little one we packed into a stroller and dragged everywhere. He was the teenager you couldn't say no to, even when he hijacked the car radio two seconds after getting in. He was the late-night "hey can you cashapp me, I’m craving Taco Bell" text that made you laugh and roll your eyes at the same time.
We have known for a year that this day was coming. We still can't believe he's gone.
We are raising funds to cover Travis's cremation and final expenses. In lieu of a traditional funeral service, our family will be hosting a Celebration of Life in the coming weeks; a chance to share stories, remember him well, and be together the way he would have wanted.
If you are able to contribute, we are grateful beyond words. If you can't, please know that sharing this page and keeping Travis in your thoughts means just as much to our family.
