Hi, my name is Summer and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart.

My father, Tom (or Tommy or Thomas or TOMas as many others knew him), recently passed away, joining his beloved Diane (my mom) who passed a few years prior. While we are doing our best to navigate the grief and arrangements, we’re also facing the unexpected burden of final expenses that he did not have funds set aside for.

He and I had no time to plan anything accordingly. With that comes many unanswered questions as well as unexpected costs. We thought we had a few years to plan things out, not weeks. We all believed there were many more bike rides that lay ahead, many more memories, and many more good times to share.

He was a proud, kind, and resilient man—one who gave what he could and rarely asked for anything in return. Now it’s my turn to do all I can to honor him properly, and I’m asking for help in doing that.

The costs we’re trying to cover include:

• Cremation/Celebration of Life/Funeral in both California and Iowa

• Transport

• Remaining personal or medical bills tied to his passing

• Any additional needs to help us navigate through this chapter with full attention to all that we can
