Tim Oakes was a devoted father to two amazing sons and a proud grandfather to beautiful grandchildren. He was one of seven children, and his family meant everything to him. Tim also cherished many longtime friendships that were very important to him, and he touched the lives of everyone who knew him. For over 40 years, Tim worked for the same company, first known as Poly Seal and later as Barry Plastics. Three years ago, he went out on medical leave due to a heart condition, and sadly, he was found deceased in his home in Middle River, Maryland. His sudden passing has left our family heartbroken, especially our boys, who are struggling to honor their dad and give him the memorial he deserves.

Tim did not have life insurance at the time of his passing, and with the Christmas holiday upon us, the financial burden of funeral costs has been overwhelming. Family has always been the most important thing to our boys, and losing their dad at this time is extremely hard for all of us. Tim’s final wish was to be laid to rest in the mountains of North Carolina, next to his mother and brother. It is so important to us to take him to be with his mom again, as he wished. Our family will feel lost until we see him again, but honoring his wishes will bring us some peace.
