Honor the Memory of a Loving Nurse, Husband, & Friend

Our friend, Chris Loesch, passed away on Monday March 13th. If you clicked onto this GoFundMe, chances are he impacted your life, too, and you’re struggling, like us, to understand what to do with this immense grief. 

Chris was a devoted husband and caring nurse, who enjoyed cooking for friends and exploring rock from Illinois to Greece. He was curious about philosophical questions, and could share an elaborate recipe that was more about intentionality than food. You could always rely on him to voice an encouraging word or say a witty comment with an infectious grin. An adventurous and curious spirit, Chris was original and unconventional, always willing to share a laugh and lend a hand. He loved dogs, climbing, and most of all, Lauren.

Chris' passing has been traumatic to those close to him, in particular his family. If Chris’ passing has taught us anything, it’s that every moment matters, and we cannot forget to share how much we love. All proceeds here will go directly to Lauren, his wife, belayer and best friend of eighteen years, who will use these gifts to pay for memorial costs, travel to spread Chris’ ashes in Holy Boulders and Jackson Falls, Illinois, and/or a nonprofit organization in Chris’ memory.
