Hi, my name is Denise, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help in honoring the life and legacy of my beloved father, Ramon V. Pleytez.

On Thursday, July 10, 2025, my dad was tragically found unresponsive at a local park and was pronounced dead at the scene. His passing was sudden and devastating. I am his only daughter, and with my mother having passed away as well, I am left to carry the weight of this unimaginable loss—both emotionally and financially—entirely on my own.

My dad was more than just a father. He was a dreamer, a builder, an artist, a teacher, and a giver. He had a beautiful way of finding magic in the simplest moments. He enjoyed the quiet satisfaction of seeing his reflection in the perfect paint job he just poured his heart into, or the deep pride he felt standing beside others in the Lifestyle Car Club, where every car told a story and every detail held meaning. These small moments lit up his world—and now, without him, there’s an ache where that light used to be.

His hands could fix anything—from engines to broken hearts. He was a brilliant mechanic, and he even helped the fire department maintain and repair their trucks—a role he took great pride in. He also had the honor of working with the LA Kings, bringing his skills and dedication to everything he touched. And he was an incredible artist, with drawings so full of life and detail that they could stop you in your tracks. Even his handwriting looked like it belonged in an art gallery.

I remember the playhouse he built for me out of cardboard boxes when I was little—crafted with love and imagination. I remember the patience he showed as he taught me to golf, to drive, and to believe in myself. He worked hard to put me through private school, never once thinking of himself if it meant I had a better chance at life. That’s who he was—generous beyond words, thoughtful to his core, and endlessly devoted to those he loved.

My father gave everything he had for others—often the very last of what he owned. Now I’m asking for help to give him the kind of farewell he truly deserves.
