Help Honor the Life and Service of Thomas T. Cassidy….

My name is Colleen Newlin and I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support in laying my biological father, Thomas T. Cassidy, to rest with the dignity and honor he so deeply deserves.

While I was adopted and he did not raise me, he was no less my dad. We built a relationship rooted in love, and he became a proud and loving grandfather to my three children. He may not have always been present in the traditional sense, but he showed up for me in his own way, and I am grateful for every moment we shared.

Dad was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy who served bravely in Vietnam. After his military career, he continued to devote his life to supporting fellow veterans. He was actively involved in numerous organizations including the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), the American Legion, the Elks Lodge, the Moose Lodge, and the Villas Fishing Club amongst others. He also served as Chief of Staff for the DAV in Villas, New Jersey—a community he proudly called home.

Now, I am faced with the painful and humbling task of giving him a proper funeral—one that reflects the respect, service, and love he gave to his country and community. Unfortunately, I do not have the financial means to do this alone and with the absence of his savings or plans left for services, I am asking for help to cover the funeral and burial expenses for my father. Any amount—no matter how small—will make a difference and be deeply appreciated. Any funds raised beyond what is needed will be donated to a veterans organization in his honor.
