Sylvia Ann Ashley, 80, of Teec Nos Pos, AZ, passed from this life on June 27, 2025, at Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, NM. Born January 1, 1945, in Teec Nos Pos, Sylvia’s existence was a testament to her resilience, creating a legacy that continues to inspire everyone who knew her. Her strength and spirit touched the lives of her family, friends, and community, and her memory will live on through the many people she impacted.
Our family is heartbroken by Sylvia’s passing, and we are struggling to cover the costs of her funeral service. We want to honor her with a meaningful farewell, but the financial burden has been overwhelming. The funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 18, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Farmington, NM, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery and a reception at Sacred Heart Parish.
Sylvia is survived by her loving family: Mona Ashley, Melissa Ashley, Randissa Ashley, Michael Ashley, Brandon Ashley, and Brandi Ashley. We are coming together to celebrate her life and legacy, and we are asking for support from friends, family, and the community to help us give Sylvia the dignified service she deserves. Any contribution will make a difference and is deeply appreciated as we navigate this difficult time.
