Help Honor Suzanne Patridge's Memory

Donation protected
I am the daughter, of Suzanne K. Patridge; Ashley R. Patridge. I have been living with my mom since day one, and been taking care of her since I was just 13 years of age, when my Dad, James W. Patridge; A Vietnam Veteran fell very ill. She had gone through a great depression, to where she struggled everyday with the hardships of his constant going to and from the Hospitals, until the day that he had to live in a Nursing Home. But when January, 23rd of 2011 came; he passed.
That's when things just went downhill from there.

As of August of 2023, my Mom ended up having a stroke that sent her to Cape Canaveral Hospital where she spent about two weeks, then went to Sea Pines Rehabilitation Center to relearn how to walk, and talk properly and spent a few weeks there. She was able to come home, but still struggled everyday to cook for herself, walk, ect. That's where I came in more than ever to help her, despite having a full-time Job. When I was at work; luckily she was not home alone. We live with our neighbor who offered us to live with her after her own husband had passed.
Now, near the end of October, beginning of November of 2024; I got a call while I was at work that they were calling the Ambulance, due to my mom seemingly having another stroke. I left work, and got there before the Ambulance did. After they took her, I went shortly after.

It was confirmed that my mom had another stroke, and on top of that had Kidney Failure. That's when everything progressed downhill. She ended up with Pneumonia, with Respiratory Failure; and had to be on Oxygen as her Oxygen Levels went down. After spending some time in Cape Canaveral, she was transported to Sea Pines again; where she stayed for a couple of weeks. That's where we kept getting told that she was gonna come home for Thanksgiving. That did not happen as they said that she was having issues. It was then said that she would come home before Christmas. Then I got the call that she was transported to the ER of Holmes Regional Hospital, where everything seemed to have got worse. She was not eating, was unable to breathe without the Oxygen mask; which was set at the highest setting to help push air into her lungs. She was just going downhill more.

Then after a few days, they moved her to a different section within Holmes, where she stayed for a few weeks while they tried to find a new Rehabilitation to send her to. They managed to get her in to Bedrock Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center here in town, close to home. Where it was easier to visit her more. I spent Christmas there with her, and brought her gifts to her. She kept hoping to come home, but that sadly did not happen.. I kept telling her soon, that she just had to get stronger.

As of January, 23rd, 2025, between 5:30am, to 6am; she passed away in her sleep. I was given the news by a few police officers, who also helped suggest a Funeral home to me.

Now, this is where I am asking for some help, I have just paid rent, and have no ability to afford for her cremation, or the Celebration of Life that I am hoping to put together for her. That and hopefully be able to get her car fixed or means for a new car; as her car broke down over a few months ago; and been sitting in the driveway; leaving me with no means of transportation; except asking others.. Every little bit; even if small will help.

Once she is cremated; my initial plans are to either bury her next to my father if that is possible; or spread majority of her ashes in the ocean; due to her absolute love for the ocean and the beaches. That way she can always be apart of the ocean that she loves so much; and a big reason as why my parents moved here to Florida..

Thank you to any and all who help in any way possible, or share..
I truly appreciate it..

Sincerely,
Ashley R. Patridge
