Help Honor Steve Menzel's Legacy

Hi, This is Lisa Crawford Bruhn and I work for Larry's Beach Club. I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Steve Menzel for a few years, not nearly as many years as I would have like, and certainly not nearly as many years as most of his friends. The news of Steve's passing is sad sad news indeed and he will be missed by so MANY! His shoes will be very difficult to fill at Larry's Beach Club and the owners, coworkers and Steve's family want to have a send off memorial that Steve would love for all.

Many of you may not know what an athlete Steve was in his high school days. He was TALL and played basketball & coached Jr. High girls softball team and was known as "Superman" Flex. Steve was a kind soul, who truly cared about people, and wanted people around him to be happy. Stubborn for sure at times, not easy at first to get close to, but once you were in his inner circle you were in for life.

It's heart warming that many people have offered to help and have reached out to Steve's family and employees at Larry's Beach Club. Bands have offered to play at his memorial. The owners of Larry's Beach Club have offered to host the food for the memorial, but the family needs help with costs related to managing all of the end of life tasks, cremation/burial, memorial, and creating a lasting legacy for Steve in the communities he resided.

I've volunteered to help Steve's family & the Larry's Beach Club "family" plan a very special tribute to honor Steve, which will be held at Larry's Beach Club June 18th and have started this GoFundMe page to help the family with memorial & burial costs.

The beneficiaries of this GoFundMe are Steve's family: his brother Scott, his sister Kristine, 4 nephews, 3 great nephews, and 2 great nieces.

Everyone appreciates the sharing of love and willingness to help in this very sad time, in honoring Steve Menzel now and forever.
