Our beloved Steve W. "Duck" Duckwitz passed away on January 27, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and an unwavering love for the outdoors. He was a builder, fisherman, mentor, and a true Wisconsinite who found joy in sharing his passions with others.

Steve found immense joy in sharing the magic of winter sports with children at Sunburst Ski Hill. Whether he was managing the lifts, operating the magic carpet, lending a hand, or playing Santa to bring joy to young hearts, Sunburst truly meant the world to him. In honor of his memory, we are raising funds to support youth access to snow sports, ensuring that future generations can experience the same joy that Steve loved.
