My youngest son of the 8 children in family, Souchai touger Thao, was born on June 27, 2002, by mother Stacey houa Moua and father Stanley Xai Thao, and tragically passed away on June 29, 2025 by incidental sleeping inside car at hot sun. Souchai was a wonderful son—he loved playing piano, dressing up in his favorite soccer outfits, laughing with our family, and going fishing. He was a quiet boy who didn’t talk much, but his presence brought so much joy to our lives. In the last couple of years, Souchai struggled with anxiety and depression, and sometimes found it hard to focus, but he always tried his best and was deeply loved by everyone around him.
Our family is facing an incredibly difficult time. My wife, Stacey, is in critical health and recently had surgery. She needs ongoing treatment several times a week and is unable to work. I am currently unemployed, and with no income, we are struggling to cover the costs of Souchai’s funeral. The expenses include the funeral service, casket, burial, and the costs of providing food and support for family and friends during this time. We want to give Souchai the loving farewell he deserves, but we simply cannot afford it on our own.
We are reaching out to friends, family, and anyone who feels moved to help. Your support will help us honor Souchai’s memory and ease some of the financial and emotional burden we are carrying. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. Our family will always remember your support, and it will help us find strength during this heartbreaking time.
