It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved father, Sidney Williams Jr. My father was the kind of person who could make anyone smile. He was truly everyone’s friend. Always ready with a joke, a laugh, or a kind word. He loved the Miami Hurricanes and spent many years working at Waffle House, where he made countless friends who became like family. Everyone who met him loved him. As my oldest sister said, "To know our Daddy, was to love him."

His passing came as a shock to our family. While he was hospitalized, his condition appeared to be improving, and we were hopeful he would be coming home soon. His discharge papers were drafted and we were waiting to set up dialysis arrangements. Instead, we were suddenly faced with the heartbreaking news that he was gone. Unfortunately, my father did not have life insurance or resources set aside to cover funeral expenses. During this already painful time, his children are now navigating these unexpected costs while trying to grieve and honor his life.

All funds raised will go directly toward covering funeral expenses, allowing us to give Sidney Jr. a meaningful and dignified burial.
