Sherrilynn Elder, my mother-in-law, tragically lost her life this afternoon in an apartment fire and explosion in Forsyth. Her beloved dog was not found, and her only child, my husband Josh Bryner, is now left to handle the aftermath. The rest of Sherry's family lives in Pennsylvania, and she leaves behind five grandchildren—one in college and four who live with us. This loss has been sudden and tragic for all of us.

Sherry did not have any insurance or plans in place, and we are facing the difficult task of arranging her final wishes. The funds raised will go directly toward covering the cost of her cremation, helping her family travel from out of state, and, if possible, holding a small memorial to honor her memory. We want to give Sherry the farewell she deserves and bring her loved ones together to say goodbye.
