Shaun "Weasel" Bain, age 52 of Smithville, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2026, at St. Thomas Stones River Hospital ER from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Born December 17, 1973, Shaun was a beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend. He was known for his hard work in road construction and roofing, and for his kind heart and sense of humor. Shaun was a Baptist and cherished his family deeply.
He is survived by his son, Devin (Rikki) Bain of Allons, TN; granddaughter, Jaime Bain; mother, Jan (Sammy) Fisher of Smithville; brother, Joshua Bain (Jennifer Linder) of Smithville; sister, Shelia Bain of Smithville; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Shaun was preceded in death by his father, L. G. Bain; brother, Jerry Lee Bain; mother of his son, Melissa Presley; paternal grandparents, Honest & Jewel Bain; and maternal grandparents, James and Louise Nelson.
Our family is heartbroken by this sudden loss and is now facing funeral expenses we cannot fully afford, especially with a newborn at home and limited resources. We are asking for help from our community to honor Shaun's memory and give him the farewell he deserves. Any donation, even a dollar, would mean so much to us and help ease the financial burden during this difficult time. Thank you for your kindness and support.
