Help Honor Shane Hart's Selfless Gift of Life

My brother, Shane Hart, suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke and was on life support waiting to donate his organs. He’s the only immediate family I have left, after losing both our parents in 24 hours over Christmas 2015.

Second edit: Shane’s employer had a small life insurance policy for him, but he hadn’t assigned a beneficiary. The law states there’sa 45 day waiting period before I’ll be able to use it. I’d really love to have his service for much-needed closure, but I cannot afford his service at the moment.

Edit: Shane passed on 11/15/24 and was able to donate his liver and kidneys to recipients, and donate his brain and pancreas to research. I’m so so proud of him.

It doesn’t appear that he had much in the way of life insurance; he lived with me and shared the bills so right now is especially difficult.

This is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through but knowing my selfless brother is saving lives makes me beyond proud.
