It is with the heaviest and most broken heart that I share the unexpected passing of my beloved little sister, Shalia Deciderio.

There are no words that could ever truly explain the pain of losing my sister. Shalia was so much more than my little sister—she was someone I loved deeply, someone who brought so much light, laughter, and love into our lives. She was loving, caring, vibrant, and full of life. Her beautiful spirit touched so many people, and her presence had a way of making those around her feel loved and welcomed.

As her big sister, my heart is shattered knowing that I will have to continue through life without her. I would give anything for one more conversation, one more laugh, one more hug, or just one more moment with her. The emptiness her passing has left behind is something our family is struggling to put into words.

Most of all, our hearts ache for Shalia’s precious daughter, who now has to face life without her mother. Our family is committed to surrounding her with all the love, care, and support we possibly can. We want to make sure Shalia’s daughter knows how deeply loved she is and that her mother’s love and memory will always be a part of her life.
